## `deepseek.fetch` — Read one web page as Markdown (DeepSeek Fetch)

`POST /fetch` · ✓ working (tested 2026-11-02) · $0.000750/call upstream · sampled 2026-10-19, 4676 ms

One page's main content as Markdown. $0.00075 when it returns content. Fails on some JavaScript-heavy sites (kalshi.com, 2026-10-19); /api/v1/web/fetch falls back to Firecrawl.

## `deepseek.search` — Search the web with DeepSeek's own index (title, URL, snippet, date)

`POST /search` · ✓ working (tested 2026-11-02) · $0.000750/call upstream · sampled 2026-10-19, 522 ms

Web results from DeepSeek's own index, not Google's: title, URL, snippet and date, up to 50 a call, in about 1 s. Good for news, people and topic research; it ignores search operators (site:, after:) and often misses a company's own homepage. $0.00075 a call when it returns results; an empty answer is free.

Selig \nFebruary 17, 2026\n\nThe Commodity Futures Trading Commission for decades has overseen regulation of prediction markets—or event contracts, as we refer to them—that help market participants hedge risk, aggregate information and test hypotheses about future outcomes.\n\nIn recent years, states have waged legal attacks on the CFTC’s authority to regulate these financial instruments. If they succeed, participants would be barred from access to federally regulated event-contract markets.
